THREE (3) P'S OF WHO I AM AND WHAT TO DO
POSSESSION - I belong to God. I am His possession. He made me for fellowship with
Him. I am nothing and not completely whole until I realize that and place all of my faith and trust in Him to complete that circle of possession.
PILGRIM - I am a sojourner in this land. My home is in heaven. I am just visiting this place. As I walk on this earth I must show the beacon of light of Christ that is in me to all I encounter. This little light of mine? Well I am going to let it shine.
PLATFORM- I am a platform for the dissemination of God’s word and message to all
those I can influence with it and share it with. I am to be an influencer for Christ in every situation possible of every minute of each day and each encounter.
The ultimate relationship is the personal one we have with our Creator, Savior, and Lord. The Levites, in Exodus 32: 29, went against some of their own in striking down the idolaters thru their camps but this earned for them the blessing of God. 29Then Moses said, "You have been set apart to the LORD today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day."
What is holding me/us back from discipleship? The Levite’s actions showed they valued the Lord above ALL relationships. Jesus taught this truth as well: “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciples.” LUKE 14: 26. This is no casual relationship you keep on the shelf to dust off and use when you need it. It is a committed relationship.
“Loving the world destroys our relationship with God, it denies our faith in God, and it discounts our future with God.”
- David Jeremiah
