The Faithful Share Their Faith
“Some men brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, ‘Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven’” (Matthew 9:2 NIV).
When we accept the free gift of salvation by grace we are receiving the greatest gift that has or ever will be given. So why do I hoard that gift. Why am I stingy?
Faithful people will share faith. The verse today speaks of a man sick and paralyzed. His friends loved him so much they wanted to see him healed. They brought him to Jesus and most would have been deterred by the crowds and unable to get close. But they lowered him through the roof on a mat down to where Jesus was.
It says…”when Jesus saw their faith”… it was not the paralyzed man’s faith He spoke of but that of his friends. Their faith led to his healing. Jesus saw that these friends cared enough to bring their sick friend demonstrating their great faith. They were not asking for healing they were EXPECTING healing. And He did heal!!!
God is watching you and me to see if we are faithful enough to bring them.
God will honor our faith.
He will heal our friends we bring to Him.
He will bless us and our faith.
AS LONG AS THE CHURCH REACHES OUT TO UNBELIEVERS, GOD WILL KEEP BLESSING THAT.
Once a church is not concerned with that any more or growing, they are saying they don’t care about the lost in our world anymore and that is not consistent with God’s priorities.
WE ARE TO KEEP BRINGING THE “SICK” TO JESUS. GOD WILL BLESS US WHEN WE DO. DON’T YOU/WE/I WANT TO BE A PART OF THAT???
“Faith is a lifelong journey of growth.”
