SUPPORT OF FAMILY

“I want us to help each other with the faith we have. Your faith will help me, and my faith will help you” (Romans 1:12 NCV).

Having family means you do not have to go through life’s highs and lows alone. A building has many inter-connected parts that hold the whole structure together. Those parts provide support. There will be times in life where we will need people to hold us together. If you are going it alone, without family……without God’s family, then you will fall apart.

The Bible says of Christ, “In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit” (Ephesians 2:21-22 NIV). Together, we are the building. We are the stability. WE are connected and not disconnected,.

Have you seen how Legos connect together. That is how they are designed and with those connecting parts there are a lot of great things you can make. But if you never connect them, they are just a pile of plastic and are worthless.

Be God’s Lego! We were designed for connection. We are made to be part of the building of God all connected together.

Why does the verse today talking about our faiths helping each other matter?

Because, one of the biggest enemies we have today is loneliness. We feel lonely and disconnected and we give up. Do not be afraid. You are not alone, no matter where you are right now.

WE NEED THE CHURCH. WE NEED THE PEOPLE. FOR THE LOVE AND SUPPORT NO MATTER WHAT WE ARE GOING THROUGH.

“In the people of your church, you have your own set of cheerleaders to urge you to greater faithfulness.”
