SOWING and REAPING SEASONS

SOWING AND REAPING SEASONS

Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” (Galatians 6:9 KJV).

Farmers will tell you that you sow in one season and reap in another. You plant in the spring, and you harvest in the fall. A response we make now to something will have an effect in the future. A seed has been planted and it can yield good or bad. We do the right thing and respond wisely then we sow good seed and will reap well or even better.

FOUR (4) Questions to Ponder when we seek to reap God’s blessing in next season:

1. WHAT CAN I LEARN IN THIS SEASON OF LIFE?

We learn from experience. DEUT. 11: 2 says “Remember today what you have learned about the Lord through your experiences with Him.”

2. WHAT CAN I ENJOY IN THIS SEASON OF LIFE?

1 THESS. 5: 18 NIV says “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” We are to live good and bad days with a sense of gratitude. Each day is a gift from God.

3. WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT FOR THIS SEASON?

ECCL. 3: 1 says “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” We cannot have it ALL at one time. What really matters now at this particular time in life?

4. HOW CAN I HELP OTHERS IN THIS SEASON OF LIFE?

We are not put on this earth to live for ourselves. “Whenever you are able, do good to people who need help.” PROV. 3: 27 NCV God gave you and me abilities, talents, and energy to help other people.

JESUS CHRIST……I WANT….

…TO GROW IN YOU

…TO DEVELOP SPIRITUALLY

…TO MATURE IN MY FAITH

…YOU TO TEACH ME TO TRUST YOU IN EVERY SEASON. GOOD AND DIFFICULT.

…LORD, I INVITE YOU TO BE AT THE CENTER OF EVERY SEASON OF MY LIFE

…LORD, BUILD THE CHARACTER IN ME THAT I WILL TAKE TO HEAVEN.

“Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant.” Robert Louis Stevenson
