“Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy will be the fullest possible joy” (John 16:24 NCV).
With the talk of cheerleaders and support people and being other’s fans, I thought I would spend some time on the Coach.
When we are in financial need, do we go to God, our financial coach, for help?
God has promised to meet our financial needs but He wants us to ask for that help!
What shuts His storehouse is when we shut our mouths.
We do not see miracles because we do not ask.
We do not live a life based on Christ but one based on credit.
We need something?…..instead of stopping to ask God for it or even before thinking about God for it,……. We take out the credit card trusting credit over Christ.
Want to see a God-work in your life, pray before you pay.
Pray over and about major purchases.
Pray before you take that credit card out.
Before charging, ask God about it first.
God will not give us all we pray for! He will give us things in our life to do a miracle and give Him glory!
We often do not get an answer to financial prayer because we never prayed specifically.
The verse today said we had not asked for anything in His name. He instructs us to ask so as to receive and our joy will be full.
Why does God want us to ask for things in prayer? SO HE CAN GIVE THEM AND WE WILL BE FULL OF JOY AND HE WILL BE GLORIFIED!!!
GOD IS A LOVING FATHER, HE IS NOT AN OGRE SITTING IN THE SKY,WAITING TO MAKE YOUR LIFE MISERABLE, AND HE WANTS TO BLESS OUR LIFE! WE JUST HAVE TO ASK.
“All the blessings we enjoy are Divine deposits, committed to our trust on this condition, that they should be dispensed for the benefit of our neighbors.” John Calvin
