EYE ON THE PRIZE
You ever feel like your life is heading in several different directions. Life seems scattered about. I believe we all would like more focus in our life. It was shared with me recently, the importance of the blinders on a horse or mule. I am not sure if they were trying to tell ME something? They keep the animal focused on exerting his effort in one direction with efficient focus.
One of the many lessons Paul teaches us has to do with discipline. He channeled all of his energies in one direction. That direction was toward winning a “crown that will last forever.”
1 COR. 9: 25 NIV. Most people chase the earthly prize or crowns and these do not last. On the other hand, Paul pursued an eternal prize.
He wanted to know Christ, the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings (Philippians 3: 10). All else was counted as loss. (3: 3-7)
WHAT MOTIVATES US/ME?
IS CHRST FIRST IN OUR/MY LIFE?
ONLY WHEN HE IS 1ST WLL WE HAVE FOCUS
FATHER GOD, HELP ME TO BE PASSIONATE, FOCUSED, AND DIRECTED IN MY CALLING FROM YOU.
FATHER GOD, ALERT AND WARN ME IF I BEGIN TO GO OFF IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS.
FATHER GOD, BRING IT ALL TOGETHER INTO ONE LIFE OF FOLLOWING YOU.
“Life’s moments of glory are fleeting; eternal glory is the concern of Almighty God”
