Cause Momma Deserves More Than 1 Day

Proverbs 31:28-29: "Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.'"

Hamburger AND fries. A day off AND good weather. Homemade Ice Cream AND more Homemade Ice Cream. All things in their own right good but when paired with the other makes it even better. That is how it is with giving thanks AND praise. Both are great within themselves but paired together are powerful!

We express thanks to someone for what they have done. We express praise as a term of admiration and delight. Worship usually follows praise. Praising God gives us joy and satisfaction. Combine that with thanks then we glorify God and help others see His glory in worship.

The blind beggar, when he was healed and given his sight for the very first time, he obviously was thankful but it also says in Luke 18: 43…that he followed Jesus and praised God….” 43Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.

Others saw this, witnessed this, and they too began to praise God.

One man’s encounter with Jesus led to a worshipful moment.

This is true today: THANKS and PRAISE go best together!!! When they do. They are contagious and that is a contagion worth spreading.

This weekend, we celebrate, to me, what is the 9th wonder of the world, and that is mothers and their unwavering love. A mother’s love is certainly worthy of praise and much to be thankful for.

We also want to make it a priority to thank God each day for everything in our life and also to praise Him as well.

When we give all our thanks and praise to God, others are watching and will take note. Maybe they will catch that contagion and pass it around!!!

“Live so that your name stirs positive associations by the people you know, the public, and God.”
